The dollar index, which measures the dollar against six major currencies, rose 0.12% on the day, closing at 97.2628 at the end of the exchange market.



At the end of the New York Exchange Market, 1 euro was converted to $1.1211, down from $1.1219 on the previous trading day; 1 pound was converted to $1.2481, down from $1.2499 on the previous trading day; and 1 Australian dollar was converted to $0.7035, down from $0.7043 on the previous trading day.



The exchange rate of one dollar to 107.87 yen was higher than that of 107.77 yen on the previous trading day; the exchange rate of one dollar to 0.9816 Swiss Franc was lower than that of 0.9825 Swiss Franc on the previous trading day; and the exchange rate of one dollar to C$1.3112 was higher than that of C$1.3062 on the previous trading day.
